Make sure the AC input requirements of the power supply match the AC outlet. Connect the power supply into an AC outlet. The outlet should be near the equipment and easily accessible. Connect the PowerLink cable to the proper port on the host system. Plugging the scanner into a port on the host system does not guarantee that scanned information will be communicated properly to the host system. The scanner and host system must use the same communication protocols.
If you recall defaults while re-configuring the scanner the Laser Emulation Mode will no longer be enabled. To maintain compliance with standard CSA-C Connect the other end of the MVC cable to the host device.
Disconnect the keyboard from the PC. Connect the PowerLink cable to the keyboard port on the host system. Before removing the cable from the scanner, Metrologic recommends that the power on the host system is off and the power supply has been disconnected from the PowerLink cable.
Bend an ordinary paperclip into the shape shown above. Pull gently on the strain-relief of the PowerLink cable and it will slide out of the scanner. Important: If the PowerLink cable is not fully 'latched' the unit can power intermittently.
The auto trigger activates the laser when the bar code is placed in the scanner's IR range. Position the laser line at the top of the code then sweep the beam over and down to the base of the code.
If needed, re-sweep the entire code, up and down. As segments of the code are scanned, an audible indicator will sound default. Once the entire code has been scanned and decoded, the data is transmitted to the host. Transmission is accompanied by the white LED flashing and the beep sounding.

Page Code 39 Code 39 bar codes. This leaves shorter minimum lengths for other code types possible. The scanner will not scan codes with fewer than the configured minimum of characters.
To activate, first scan an ITF character lock length. Then scan RBC-enable minimum test. Scan the delete last record bar code. The Quantity 3 code will be deleted and a quantity of 10 will be stored. Allow Full Laser-On Cycle The laser stays on for a full cycle even when a bar code is scanned and transmitted. Blinky Mode The laser turns on after the selected activation trigger is detected. Continuous Blinky Mode The scanner will continuously blink on and off, turning the scanning cycle on and off for all normal scanner operations. If a bar code is scanned and transmitted, the same symbol timeout is maintained throughout the cycle preventing additional scans of the same bar code when the scanner is in default mode.
Use this code with a code byte sequence on page that represents the desired increment. These scanners may use a different set of defaults than Honeywell factory defaults. Scanning the bar code will reset the default table to Honeywell defaults. Enable Factory Defaults Scan this code followed by Recall Defaults code to enable and load Honeywell factory defaults.
Sanyo Scan this code followed by Recall Defaults code to enable and load Sanyo defaults. Gilbarco Scan this code followed by Recall Defaults code to enable and load Gilbarco defaults. To recall defaults: 1. This will put the scanner in serial program mode. Scanning will be suspended and the scanner will respond with an ACK 06 Hex.
