Bridge bloxx game

Is architecture in your blood and would you like to build the most beautiful dream work by yourself? Just press the button of your phone and start building the craziest bridges!

Handy Games has announced the launch of its latest casual game, named Bridge Bloxx, for the mobile phone arena. While creating an outstanding bridge, gamers have to be careful of the development, and should not allow it to collapse or blast.

Construction is not going to be easy for anybody as the players need to develop a bridge that can sustain the weight of the arriving train. But for every moment like that there are several where you feel you have come up with a sound and unique solution. We got the distinct impression that in the more open levels we could have come up with a number of acceptable yet very different constructions, which is a thrilling thought when you consider how linear most mobile games are.

One design decision we didn't particularly appreciate was the timed nature of the tasks. True, it gives each problem a sense of urgency and momentum as you desperately try to think of a solution before the train arrives. But we would have preferred a more sedate pace, which would perhaps in turn allow for more intricate and varied levels. As it is, the enforced time limit seems to limit the scope of the main game unnecessarily. Despite this reservation Bridge Bloxx is an expertly conceived and solidly constructed game with deceptive depth.

What's more, it's a fresh and fertile concept that will easily bear the load of multiple sequels. Twitter Facebook Reddit. A Sandbox mode lets you experiment with building stuff, without the usual level constraints of a budget to work within - you can use as many materials as you like. Best of all is the game's Replay option, which lets you watch back the moments your bridges are tested out. You can then save these replays to look back on your finest or most bizarre architectural creations.

It might still be about building bridges, but this sequel stands some way ahead of the original game. More extras and no enforced time limit - so the game playing is as sedate as building structures should be - make this a far more playable experience.

Its open-endedness and unlockables are particularly brilliant. Mark Bridge Bloxx 2 down as a must-have if you've ever spent many a happy minute down the pub trying to build something out of beer mats and matches. Twitter Facebook Reddit.
