Artistx install

The project founder and developer is Marco Ghirlanda from Italy. ArtistX 2. Helo My name is Brandon Quam. The Artist X project has been taken over by Us at artistxlinux. We are contacting you to request a website information update. I am the only remaining Developer since Marco Ghirlanda. Resigned from the original team. Sorry for the late reply. We took over and it is now a United States based Software. And no longer an Open source project.

We have two versions. Can you write your post in the box and not in the title. What are you saying? No wonder I was having trouble with the post.

My mind is in a fuzz right now from trying to solve the problem, but I think I said what was happening when I edited my post. Right now, I need to shut down this and the trouble computer, and rest my head for at least an hour, maybe ten. ArtistX is based on Ubuntu. Ensure that you have ubuntu-restricted-extras. If necessary, connect to the Internet and in a Terminal, issue the command: sudo apt-get install ubuntu-restricted-extras. I do have Ubuntu restricted Areas.

I'm not going to get many more headaches with this. I hate having to boot Windows to watch video. I might have to reformat the partition, and re-install? If that doesn't work, I might have to download and burn the ISO again. The image below actually is clearer than on the computer. I guess it's because it's been shrunk. This is confusing. Is the following all one command, or what? The Medibuntu Repository is recently defunct. I updated once after the install, so i tried the old linux. The problem still existed, so I went to the recovery mode, then did normal boot.

It worked great, but when I rebooted, it was back to the same old same-o. How can i get it to stay, with out re-install. I do have, ubuntu-restricted-extras , as stated earlier. I appreciate all of the tries at helping. There are 3 different kind of installation media Artix currently provides: base, graphical and community. The base installation can be performed from within any ISO; this may prove useful to people who have trouble getting their wireless network cards to work or for any reason need an active graphical environment during installation.

You can also install a different init system than that of the installation medium. Read our fine wiki. This is the recommended way of installing Artix and the team will be happy to support any issue.

An almost identical lowmem version found at the testing section below , can boot and install on machines with as little as MB of RAM.
